DDB’s new pro-bono creative project and its new social media button, “I Care” is a smart new option when “Liking” a tragedy or movement feels like an unsuitable response. The embeddable button allows a person to engage with social topics, such as natural disasters, poverty and causes where “liking” such an issue seems inappropriate. Publishers can even customize action based on the click, leading people to donate or click through to get more involved. While the beta test is on Facebook, MTV is already using it its MTV Voices Platform.
What a great new tool for news organizations, publishers and bloggers. What button is next?

Smart App - Web Meetings
I make a ton of calls all over the country and the world. So for a long time, I’ve been a huge fan of freeconferencecall.com Users are given the telephone number with a user ID for access into the call. Each participant pays for the cost of making the call on regular telephone lines. No computer or Internet access required.
So, I was really delighted I am to find out they have are now offering free web meetings through FreeScreenSharing.com What an interesting, free alternative to WebEx. If you need to make an online presentation, demo or webinar and, it’s worth checking out.
