DDB’s new pro-bono creative project and its new social media button, “I Care” is a smart new option when “Liking” a tragedy or movement feels like an unsuitable response. The embeddable button allows a person to engage with social topics, such as natural disasters, poverty and causes where “liking” such an issue seems inappropriate. Publishers can even customize action based on the click, leading people to donate or click through to get more involved. While the beta test is on Facebook, MTV is already using it its MTV Voices Platform.
